BORGOGNA
BORGOGNA draws inspiration from the ancient stones of the Burgundy region in France. The stones in this area were formed in the marine sedimentary environment of the Jurassic Period, rich in calcite, clay, and fossils. With a fine texture and natural veins, they are natural stones combining historical heritage and regional characteristics.
Due to the periodic fluctuations of the marine environment, the stone surface forms irregular spots or linear textures, where clear outlines of marine biological fossils can be seen. Fragments of oyster shells and imprints of ammonites are commonly embedded in them. Casaferra designers have conducted millimeter-level detailed analysis of the concentric growth lines of oyster shells and the spiral textures of ammonites, ingeniously integrating these marine fossil elements into the tile design. Meanwhile, the surface is treated with matte and fine carving techniques, presenting a soft visual effect with subtle roughness, which fully exhibits the primitive and natural texture of Burgundy stone and exudes a unique temperament of low-key luxury.
