The design inspiration for the Portland Collection draws from natural Portland Stone on the Isle of Portland in Dorset. Its limestone texture forms over 150 million years, as tiny sediments grow and compact naturally. Countless planktonic remains and carbonate particles stack layer upon layer over eons, gradually consolidating into stone with a warm texture and unique grain through high-pressure compaction from tectonic movements and slow infiltration by the natural environment.
Casaferra’s designers captured its uniform base color ranging from off-white to light gray, meticulously reproducing the dark spots and "granular" texture scattered naturally across the stone surface. They also accounted for subtle textural differences among limestone variants of different ages, ensuring each tile boasts the warm tactile feel of natural stone and an irreplicable natural imprint. With a complete range of specifications covering diverse home scenarios and six colors blending warm and cool tones that extend the color spectrum of natural stone, the collection not only echoes the inherent natural hues of Portland Stone but also offers users abundant styling possibilities.
